About Search Institute
Search Institute, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, is an independent, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization whose mission is to provide leadership, knowledge, and resources to promote healthy children, youth, and communities. A leading innovator in discovering what children and adolescents need to become caring, healthy, and responsible adults, Search Institute applies this knowledge to motivate and equip everyone to take part in creating a world where all young people are valued and thrive.

Drawing on extensive research, Search Institute brings innovative solutions to the most pressing challenges in the lives of young people and their communities. The premier example of this work is the framework of Developmental Assets, the most widely recognized approach to positive youth development in North America and, increasingly, around the world.
